I had been learning Italian for some time when I came across Silvia's podcast. Thinking that she looks like a nice lady who really loves teaching and is always up for a joke I decided to give her lessons a try. And I can say that my expectations were more than met. Learning Italian with her was always fun and still is after almost a year. Her lessons are never boring, who thought you might play battleships in an Italian lesson for learning colors? And even though (or because?) it's fun, I learned a lot. But that's something you can expect from other teachers as well. What makes her really special — at least for me — is the fact that she truly connects with you. Learning Italian feels like talking to an Italian friend who listens to you full of interest, keeps correcting you patiently and never gets angry with you even if you keep handing in your homework a few minutes before the lesson starts.
